Hello!

I am an Irish writer from Dublin. I specialise in short stories and flash fiction. I keep saying there isn’t a novel in me, but who knows? As one of my favourite authors, Douglas Kennedy said recently, ‘Life is improvisation. No one knows what’s going to happen.’

My current writing goal is to have a flash collection or a novella-in-flash published.

My first published story (Changing Habits) was showcased by Ireland’s Own Winning Writers Annual in May 2015. Thinking this was a fluke, there was no-one more surprised than yours truly when the magazine accepted another story (Maisie & Gerald) in September 2015.

Since then, I’ve written for and had work accepted by:

Ellipsis Zine
Jellyfish Review
Train Lit Magazine
Cabinet of Heed
Reflex Fiction
Ad Hoc Fiction (3 x wins in their weekly competition)
Stories for Homes Anthology
Stories for Lipreading
Brilliant Flash Fiction
Paper Swans Anthology
Flash Fiction Festival Two Anthology
The People’s Friend
Firefly Magazine
Splonk

My story, When Where Doesn’t Matter, was listed in the Best British & Irish Flash Fiction 2018-2019 (BIFFY50).

My passion for stories, reading and writing stems from my parents instilling in me from an early age – a love of books, libraries and the enjoyment of reading.

Recently, the loss of two of the most important people in my life in a short eight-month period has galvanised my desire to give life everything I can, with positivity, in whatever timescale I’m granted.

Motto: Kindness is everything.
